My Favorite Video Game
All kinds of video game systems, like the Sony Playstation Portable and the Microsoft Xbox 360, have released some excellent video games. From great sporting titles to whimsical fantasy games to rough & tumble army games, there have been some great video games released over the years. Add to that fact that the music and soundtrack of today's video games are so well orchestrated, that they belong in a feature film or on your Apple iPod Nano, rather than just on a video game.
A video game that I enjoy playing over and over again is one for the Playstation and the Sony Playstation Portable called Medievil.
This is one of those video games that is both addictive and challenging at the same time. As the main character, you are Sir Daniel Fortesque, and you're dead. Yet, on the Sony PSP, you come back to life to once again vanquish the forces of evil. There have been many games with the same concept developed for other systems like the Microsoft Xbox 360. For some reason, though, Medievil is a great game to play for the Sony Playstation Portable and for the original Sony Playstation.
This video game really has it all. The soundtrack for this game is definitely iPod Nano quality. Each part of the soundtrack corresponds beautifully with each unique level and area of the game, so that rather than playing a video game, you feel like your actually watching a spooky, scary and gothic movie - with you as the star! The graphics are amazing, and the voiceover work is some of the best that you'll ever see - and hear - on the Playstation Portable!
There are lots of games that get tons of marketing and publicity thrown behind them. And, for the most part, the attention is well deserved, as the more popular games are often some of the best and most innovative titles ever created. But, once in a while, a smaller title gets released that is an absolute gem and soon becomes a cult classic video game. For me, Sony really hit a home run by releasing Medievil, and now that's it's available on the Sony PSP, it's even better than ever!
